It is no surprise that Brittni and Matthew chose Thousand Acre Farm, in Middletown Delaware, for their wedding nuptials. Matthew, a cranberry farmer, and Brittni a school teacher, planned a whimsical and heartfelt ceremony on the 110 acre waterfront property. Thousand Acre Farms sets along side the very picturesque Thousand Acre Marsh. Brittni and Matthew’s wedding day looks like it came straight off Pinterest and landed right here in Delaware! Every detail was perfection from the flower combinations to the family style seating and decor at the venue! Mr. Softee even made a visit to the farm!

Brittni and Matthew met through their mutual friend, Amy. Matthew fell in love with Brittni’s freckles and infectious smile! He asked her to be is wife on June 7, 2017 at the beach with their dog, Ryker. They booked us in March of 2018 for their wedding photography. Our wedding collections include a complimentary engagement session. We held this on the cranberry farm where Matthew works, last summer! Its great tying the engagement session in with our couples lives or interests!

I enjoy asking our couples, what their favorite part of the day was. Brittni said that it was “finally getting to see each other during the first look!” I LOVE hearing that! First looks are designed, so that a couple will see each other on their wedding day before their wedding ceremony. It is a private moment for the couple, away from the eyes of family and friends. While this is a newer trend in the wedding world, more often than not, couples are choosing to do this for a number of reasons.

All the stress, and jitters that come with the big day, seem to be washed away during the first look. This does make for a more relaxed “in the moment” ceremony. Often, couples tell me that walking down the aisle is still quite powerful and full of emotions. Lets face it….that is because in that moment, sh*ts about to get real! 🙂 It’s not for everyone, but I’ve never had a couple tell me they wish they waited! I had the pleasure of photographing another beautiful spring Running Deer Golf Club wedding on May 4. There is no denying the connection and love between Christine and Jacob. Their candid, funny, as well as touching moments, made their wedding day so much fun to photograph. The rain stayed at bay for their intimate ceremony at Running Deer Golf Club.
